According to the pastor in service this morning, "enthusiasm" comes from the Greek words meaning "in God." I find this. . .inspiring. Care to comment and/or expound (Naomi)?
Yup, it's true. En and theos. From what I can gather, it was originally used to describe religious fervor and then must have morphed to mean any kind of fervor.
Due to a rash of spam commenting, I am forced to join the ranks of those who require word verification for commenters. I apologize for the inconvenience, but hope that not having to skim through schmuck when you click on comments makes up for it. Please do continue to comment.
